Til oil, pressed cold — not roasted
This is raw white sesame oil, not the dark toasted sesame oil used as a finishing drizzle in East Asian food. It is pale gold, mild and nutty, and it is the sesame oil Indian cooking and Ayurveda have always used.
How we make it
- Seed: Clean white sesame, farm-sourced and sun-dried.
- Press: Wooden ghani at low speed so the oil never overheats.
- Filter: Natural settling and cloth filtration only.
- Fill: Small batches, bottled fresh.
How to use it
Tadka and curry leaf tempering, South Indian cooking, idli podi, pickles, chutneys and salad dressings. Traditionally also used for abhyanga self-massage, oil pulling and hair care.
What you will notice
- Pale golden colour and a gentle nutty aroma
- Light and non-greasy on the palate
- Natural sediment may settle — no filtering agents are used
Storage
Cool, dark, tightly capped, dry spoon only. Best used within 6 months of opening.
Allergen note: Contains sesame.
Gramiko is farm-direct. Every batch is traceable back to the field it came from.
