Pack size: 1 L.
Kali sarso ka tel, the traditional way
Black mustard seeds are crushed slowly in a wooden ghani at low speed, so the oil keeps its natural pungent aroma and bold flavour. Gramiko Wood Pressed Black Mustard Oil is 100% pure mustard oil — nothing added.
How we make it
- Seed: Clean black mustard seeds, farm-sourced.
- Press: Wooden ghani at low speed so the oil never overheats.
- Filter: Natural settling and cloth filtration only.
- Pack: Small batches, packed fresh.
How to use it
Use for tadka, sabzi, dal, fish and meat curries, frying, achar (pickles) and parathas. Traditionally the oil is heated until it just begins to smoke and then cooled slightly before cooking, which softens its sharp raw pungency. Also used for traditional body massage.
What you will notice
- Deep golden colour with a strong, pungent aroma
- Sharp, bold taste — a little goes a long way
- Natural sediment may settle — no filtering agents are used
Storage
Cool, dry place, tightly capped, away from sunlight. Use a dry spoon. Best before date is printed on the pack.
Allergen note: Contains mustard.
Gramiko is farm-direct. Every batch is traceable back to the field it came from.
